As a junior, she was very early elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Academic Honor Society. Subsequently, Sen studied film production on the Peter Stark Producing program at the USC Film School. She has written and directed various short films, including her thesis film titled “The arranged marriage”, presented in many festivals. As an actor, he trained at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute in New York and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
Sen married John Makinson, president of Penguin Random House, in June 2013 and in 2014, she gave birth to the couple’s first child, a girl. She previously frequented Indian film producer Madhu Mantena for a few years.
